From Griever Tarrant

Since I was a child, I have developed long-standing friendships with others, some of them still survive today, and some of them have been washed away by the sands of time. I, in my brash youth have thrown away my fair share of those friendships as well.

The Rising Winds, has superceded most all of these friendships, introducing me to people more like myself than any I have met,.. Friendships that have become fast and strong, almost familial ties. It is the camraderie of friends whom you meet with every week, their support, their guidance, and of course the ability to beat these same friends with foam, and not have them get angry at you.

I have worked hard for my accomplishments in this "game", and it has grown in my mind and heart to something beyond a game, an alternate life which I craft, and often use to take the bitterness out of mundane life's foibles... a speeding ticket? trouble at work? I have my "S", I have been champion, and GM, among other accomplishments. WHile it is not reality, it is a reality we make for a few hours each week, and without it, the worlds sting was much more vicious..

So, The Rising Winds is to me, my friends, my confidantes, my source for handling every day stress, and most importantly the focus of my loyalty, Long Live the Rising Winds, and God Bless you all.
