From Niamh Deidre/Jinx

For me, the Rising Winds is a place like the Elks club. Or the Eagles. It's a place where people can get together and simply be accepted. No games, no questions. Just a group of people that will give a hug or anything else without being asked. Sure, people can have their moments, but that's all they are: moments. Moments of time that can be forgotten. In the words of Baz Luhrmann "..remember the compliments and forget the insults..." If you need a reminder of all that's good about Amtgard, listen to "Everyone's Free To Wear Sunscreen" by Baz Luhrmann. It's all in there.

I've met enough people in this game that I know I'll be friends with for a Goddamned long time, and that list only keeps getting longer. Everyone (for the most part) is honest, caring, and, to be honest, teddy bears. I mean, aside from his looks, who can say Ogrim is scary? He's just a giant (literally) teddy bear. No way around it.

Just take a moment and realize what a gem we have together. We have a group of people that is like a second family.. Or your own family, however you want to look at it.. And realize how much value it has.

It began as a game for me, but it became so much more.

I love you guys!!
