From Nightshade Darkmoon

What the Rising Winds means to me, in fact all of Amtgard, is family. I've never felt more love from my fellow amtgarders than this past coronation (I don't know what the number is, you can add that in for me) when many found out about persons that shall remain unnamed were going to try and show up and make trouble for me. Very many of the pop. told me that if they did show that they would have to get thru them before they could even touch me. That was one of the best moments of my life.

It also means the chance to meet new people from different parts of the country... I may not like all of them on a personal level, but we still have that one thing in common... The love for the Game and the Dream of Amtgard. I have had my doupts about the game and wondered if it was worth staying at times, but each time I see the faces of my extended amtgard family it brings new hope and I relize that for every asshole in the game there are twenty people that I am willing to call brother and really lay my life down for them.

I hope this helps some one to relize that quiting anything is not the solution... If you quit, they always win. You can't fix what's broken, if you don't know that it is broken.
